With a 2-0 victory over pro100 (16-14 Dust2, 16-11 Inferno), HellRaisers secured a place in the CIS Minor grand final and a spot at the FACEIT Major New Challengers Stage.
With Özgür "woxic" Eker hitting his stride early, getting nine kills in the first four rounds, HellRaisers were off to a great start on the CT side of Dust2. They went on to grab a 7-0 lead before pro100 recovered from a 3v5 to add their first, building on that to make the score 7-4. A back-and-forth round then went HellRaisers' way, but it would end up being their last of the half as pro100 made the score decent for the half, 8-7.
By winning the second pistol as well, the international team was able to take back the lead and go up 11-7, but pro100 didn't falter and put up a strong defense with rifles, with Ivan "AiyvaN" Semenets and Leonard "kenzor" Volodarchuk leading the way as they tied five together. The match came down to the wire, 14-14, when Issa "ISSAA" Murad stepped up with a quad kill and set up his side for a 16-14 win.
AiyvaN's swift USP-S hat trick marked the start of Inferno, giving them the pistol round on their map pick, but a clumsy A site defense against the force buy saw HellRaisers reply quickly. Off the back of it, Kirill "ANGE1" Karasiow's men bagged a 3-1¸lead, but pro100 took over the control on the CT side after that, showing better play in full buy rounds. Dima "def" Lemeshchuk's banana flank in round 13 netted him four kills in total, allowing pro100 to finish 9-6 up.
Adding another pistol round to their name, and with the followups going their way as well, HellRaisers made back the ground and tied up the score in the second half. After a tight B site afterplant went pro100's way, HellRaisers struck back and reset the Ukrainian side, with woxic's 1v2 clutch in round 23 practically sealing the deal. (13-10) Vadim "Flarich" Karetin and co. added another round to their name, but were ultimately shut out by HellRaisers who secured a spot at the first stage of the FACEIT Major with a 16-11 victory.
